Air Force One / Freedom One Project

I had the honour of joining an amazing team of professional detailer's from around the world to polish a very special aircraft and help to preserve a piece of American history. Formerly part of the American Presidential fleet, this Boeing VC-137B, Special Air Mission 971 (SAM971), was an integral part of some historical events. On some occasions during the late 1950's and early 1960's, it was used as Air Force One to transport President Eisenhower and President Kennedy. It also carried government officials and dignitaries from around the world as Air Force Two. Most notably, this aircraft was used as Freedom One on two important occasions. In the late 1970's, it brought American hostages home from Iran. It was also responsible for bringing home American POWs from Operation Desert Storm.
